Date I started performing in Rocky Horror:
I started playing a Trannie (or "Transie," as we call them) when I was accepted for a trial membership of sorts in September of 2001 - it was my chance to prove my dedication to the cast.
Why I love this part:
Transies are great because they're a balance between cast and audience. As a Transie, you can be a part of the show - sing, dance, wear a crazy costume - but you're still something of an audience member. After the lab scene ends, you can hang out in the audience and shout AP lines. It's perfect for newbies and cast members who need a break without missing all the fun.
